The department was established in the year 2000 with an initial intake of 60 and with minimum infrastructure of two laboratories: Programming and Hardware labs. The department has grown in strength over the years in terms of infrastructure facilities, technical expertise, faculty strength ,modern testing aids, browsing facilities etc. The department has qualified and experienced faculty and technically competent supporting staff on its rolls. Presently department has 3 well equipped laboratories.

The computer systems are IBM & HP branded Pentium IV and with latest configuration. Department has 2 printers. All the laboratories are connected with networking and with 2 hours power backup. We have the internet facility for 60 systems with the speed of 2 Mbps form Airtel.
